Every first love deserves a second chance
June Hamilton left home to pursue her dream of dancing on Broadway. Seven years later, she has one regret: Mel Preston, her teenage crush and onetime summer love. Now a single dad and the head of maintenance at Starlight Point, her family’s amusement park, Mel’s easy smile still makes her heart beat in triple time. But June came home with a plan. She would spend the summer revitalizing the park’s aging theaters, then make a graceful exit back to the big city. My Review of Carousel Nights
I loved Carousel Nights! It has a certain magic that I think comes with amusement parks. Doesn’t everyone have a favorite memory of a fair or an amusement park that makes them smile? I have been to many parks in my life and have always wondered about the behind the scenes action. Carousel Nights takes you behind the scenes while warming your heart.
June is a dedicated dancer, and her family needs her. She plans to revamp the shows at her family’s amusement park. What her family doesn’t know, though, is that June needs this time to recover from a knee injury. An injury that could end her Broadway career. June works tirelessly to get the shows ready, and her work pays off. I love June and how dedicated she is! I always thought it would be so much fun to be on Broadway…not as a dancer but as an actress.
June soon finds that maybe she is ready for something more in her life. She thinks she’s got it all, but when Mel reenters June’s life…along with his little boy…June rethinks what is truly important in life. Mel is awesome, and he gives June freedom to choose without pressuring her to give anything up.
I love this story and these characters! There is so much life in this book. The romance develops quickly but not in an unrealistic way since June and Mel have known each other forever. You will love reading this story! It is so sweet and heartwarming. I highly recommend it!

Everyone’s counting on him
With the sudden death of his father, Jack Hamilton finds himself running the family amusement park, Starlight Point. His first job? Balance the books, and that means raising the rent for vendors like baker Augusta Murphy.
Gus won’t accept the new contract…not without a fight. She rallies the other vendors and sets out to negotiate with Jack. At least, she tries. How do you play hardball with a man who’s charming and kind and still grieving? Gus needs to figure it out fast, because the closer she gets to Jack, the more she risks losing everything.
