Disclosure: I received free tickets to Wildwater Kingdom as well as single meal vouchers for those in my party to facilitate this review. All opinions are honest, my own, and may differ from yours.

Are you looking for a place to cool off this summer? Someplace that has fun water activities for the whole family? Well, look no further than Wildwater Kingdom located in Aurora, Ohio.

My kids and I went to Wildwater Kingdom last weekend and had so much fun! Did you see my post on What to Pack for a Water Park Visit with Teens? Thanks to advanced planning, we had everything we needed for the day. When we first got to the park, we decided to eat first since it was lunch time. After a bit of wandering around, we found Happy Harbor Cafe and decided to eat there. I got the cheeseburger and fries, and my kids got the chicken fingers and fries. They were both tasty, and they give you a large portion.

You can buy a Dining Plan for $25.99. With this plan you get an entree and side at either Happy Harbor Cafe or Pizza Pier every 90 minutes. It is worth it if you are planning on eating more than twice during the day. If not, it would be less expensive to just buy the meals. They also have several cart type places where you can buy food, drinks, and snacks.

After we ate, we rented a locker to store our things in for the day. We even left our shoes in the lockers because about 90% of the people at the park were walking around barefoot. This only was an issue one time when the ground right by the lake was really hot on our feet. I’m not sure if it was the type of flooring used there or what, but you can avoid that area by walking on a different path. We did that on the way back!

Speaking of that path by the lake, here is a picture of Geauga Lake. Geauga Lake used to have an amusement park as well, but it closed down. I have a lot of fond memories of Geauga Lake Amusement Park. AND we used to have SeaWorld too…sigh.

After we stashed our stuff in our locker, we wandered over to Tidal Wave Bay. This is possibly my most favorite place in the park. The water was the perfect temperature. About every 15 minutes, the waves start coming and you get bounced all over the place! It is so much fun!

My second favorite place in the park is Riptide Run, which is Wildwater Kingdom’s lazy river. Grab a raft and float away. You’ll probably get very wet along the ride as there are lots of places where the water is falling on you, or the people on the bridge above may dump the water on you too!

If you have little ones, they will love hanging out at Splash Landing! “Splash Landing has four stories of water slides, soaking gadgets, geysers, water cannons and a giant bucket dropping 1,000 gallons of water every few minutes.” Fun, right?

For those of you who love the extreme, they’ve got the perfect water slides for you at Thunder Falls! Thunder Falls has Ohio’s tallest water slide! Are you brave enough? There is also Liquid Lightning in which you and your friends climb into a raft and slide into a huge funnel and get spun around!

The best deals for Wildwater Kingdom can be found online. If you are planning on visiting several times through the season, you’ll want to get a season pass. Two day tickets are available for $45. One time tickets can be bought at a discounted price of $25.99 online. You’ll save $7 off of the park price. Plan to pay $10 for parking too.

What is your favorite water park? Have you ever been to Wildwater Kingdom? I would love to hear what you think your favorite ride would be!
