Ladies, It’s Time for TMI

Monistat It's Time for TMI

Yeast infections. Ugh! No one wants to or has time to talk about those, right? Wrong! It’s Time for TMI! How many of you learned about yeast infections from your mom? Raise your hands….not many, I’m sure. It is just one of those subjects that we avoid. Not anymore! Don’t leave your daughter misinformed. Instead, make her into Miss Informed.

I don’t know about you, but my mom didn’t talk to my sisters or me much about personal stuff like yeast infections. It was a TMI subject, I guess. We had to rely on our friends to tell us stuff like this…like they were so informed, right? Even with all of the instant access to information young women have today, they still are being misinformed! In a recent survey of 16-24 year old women, 53% have no idea what to do when they have a yeast infection. And 66% don’t know they can treat it with an over-the-counter product.

Did you know that 3 out of 4 women will experience a yeast infection at least once in her lifetime? But does she know how she can get it or cure it? Survey says, “No.”

  • 81 percent believe having sex is a primary cause
  • 67 percent think it can never be cured
  • 59 percent believe it is highly contagious
  • 52 percent blame laptop heat

Even though I feel like I talk to my daughter about pretty much everything (we’re totally the Gilmore Girls), it is so awesome to have companies like Monistat to provide easy ways we can share this subject with our daughters.

Monistat has launched the “It’s Time for TMI” campaign with lots of information that you can share with your daughters and friends. One thing they’ve created is this great infographic! It has so much information in a handy graphic that you’re going to want to share it with your daughters and friends. Feel free to pin it for future reference.

The infographic is only a small portion of the information Monistat has made available online for you to gather facts to share. Click on It’s Time for TMI for videos and more useful information. Take the TMI Quiz  and receive a FREE sample of Monistat Chafing Relief Powder Gel (while supplies last).

Want some FREE coupons? You know you do! There are $12 worth of coupons from Monistat available by clicking this link: Monistat Coupons.

Thanks to our sponsor, Monistat, you have a chance to win the same kit that I received! I love that this kit includes a testing kit, so you can be sure what you have is or is not a yeast infection.

What a great campaign and a good way to share info. While I have my own experiences I don’t have a daughter to share them with. I will share this info with my SIL though so she can talk to my niece!

I have never had one. And as I do not have children I won’t have to worry about how to bring that up with a teen thankfully! But I do agree, better to be ‘Miss Informed’ than to be ‘misinformed’. =)

I love this! There are two thing that women are mortified to talk about: yeast infections and LBL. It doesn’t mean we’re dirty or we don’t take care of ourselves. Our bodies are just prone to these things.

This is an amazing campaign!! It’s so important for women to feel comfortable talking about their health – reproductive or otherwise. Thank you for helping to break the stigma of yeast infections – they’re not fun, but knowing what’s happening to you and how to fix it makes a world of difference. <3
