How to Choose Family Friendly Resorts

A family friendly resort should be chosen according to the desires of all the family members.  When you are planning for the travel, you should also choose the destination of the resort appropriately for the family. Here are some tips that can guide you while planning for a holiday with your family.

Resort

Book Your Rooms at the Same Time

You can get better rates if you book all your rooms together. Since the resort will notice that you are bringing a lot business to them, you can get better accommodations  too. When you are in large groups, they can offer all the rooms on the same floor for your convenience.

Appropriate for All

The family members should feel that the resort provides them a homey experience. If you are taking your teenage child with you, ensure that he can be entertained with some sports and events that he will enjoy. If you are traveling with kids, you should ensure that the resort offers children’s events and programs. For example, games and art classes for all ages can be organized by the authority of the resort.

Dining Options and Restaurants

You should choose the resorts with multiple dining options so that all the members can choose their favorite cuisines. There can be some a-la-carte restaurants that require reservations prior to your dinner, but there are also some restaurants without reservations. You should choose them according to the convenience of the family members.

Fun Away from the Resort

The entire family can also have fun away from the resort. Within the property, the hotel can offer you many facilities. But you can also explore the surroundings away from the resort. For this, you should choose the location very carefully. You can investigate the environment off site. You should ensure that the resort offers day trips or eco safaris. These types of small trips are an added advantage when the travelers are spending their time at the resorts.

Flexibility

As you are traveling in a group, keep in mind the tastes and preferences of all the family members. You should be flexible in various situations where different members require different facilities from the resorts. The family friendly resorts can easily customize and are very flexible with the requirements of their guests. As a responsible traveler you should ensure the check in, checkout time and the policies of transferring from one hotel to another. You should try to be flexible with the timing as you are traveling with a group.

Fine Print

Though you can book your resort through tour operators or the travel agents, never forget to read the fine print.

If you want to spend your vacation in the all inclusive resorts, you should plan and book well in advance. If you are traveling with a group, try to ensure that the family friendly resorts are offering something that everyone can enjoy.

Some good points. Especially since we are considering doing this for next summer. It would be so fun to meet somewhere for a family vacation/reunion. No one has the burden of hosting/cooking/cleaning.

I agree. I’d love to go to an all inclusive resort with something for everyone! I mean Disney is great, but when you add food and other costs…yikes!!
