Do you have unused vacation days? If yes, why? I know people are busy and our jobs pay the bills, but they can’t be everything. It’s important to time off from work to spend more time with family. I’m here to encourage you to plan for vacation this year so you can make memories with your family.
Plan for Vacation #PlanForVacation
National Plan for Vacation Day is Tuesday, January 30, and Alamo Rent A Car and I want to help you plan for your next vacation! To give you a bit of an incentive, you can get 10% off base rates of weekly Alamo rentals when traveling between March 1 and August 30, 2018. This is a limited time offer, so be sure to reserve your rental by February 6, 2018, in order to take advantage of the deal!
Renting a vehicle gives you the freedom to explore and make the most out of whatever destination you choose for your vacation. When you plan your next vacation, don’t forget to take the time to research the right rental to meet your family’s travel needs.
Where do you want to go?
There are so many places to choose from when you’re planning a family vacation. If your kids are old enough, I know they’ll have some ideas that you might want to consider. I’ve got some great game ideas from Alamo’s Scenic Route you can play with your family. One game will help you decide on the perfect travel destination for your family this year!
This game gives everyone in the family a chance to speak up about where they want to go! This is a fun way to select a vacation spot for 2018.
The Outdoors
Does your family enjoy spending time outside? Some people love being in nature, so for those families a vacation outdoors makes sense. Door County, Wisconsin is a great place to make memories with your family while spending lots of time outdoors.
Door County has over 300 miles of shoreline along with many parks making it a perfect outdoor vacation destination. You can find out more about Door County on Alamo’s Scenic Route.
The City
Is your family all about the hustle and bustle of a big city? If so, your family may want to plan for vacation in Chicago. This city is filled with great places to explore including Hyde Park, Lincoln Square, Pilson and Andersonville.
The Beach
I know my kids and, when it comes to selecting the next vacation spot, I know they’d choose the beach (and Disney World) every time. Thankfully there are 6 great beaches within driving distance of Orlando. During our last trip to Florida, we took a day trip to Cocoa Beach. It is gorgeous and family friendly. It is a great beach for surfing, and lessons are available.
No matter where your family wants to go on a trip, you can plan for vacation with some very helpful tools from Alamo. Check it out to learn things like how to rent a car, stay within your budget, and pack.
When will you start planning for your next vacation? It’s important to remember: It doesn’t really matter where you go – so long as you GO! Don’t let life pass you by…take time to plan for your next vacation!
