When Inevitable Things Catch up to You

Thanks for sharing!

Inevitable things are a part of life; however, we don’t like to think about them. We might think about the future and what it holds once in awhile. We wonder what the rest of our lives are going to be like. The good things are easy to think about: going on a trip, retiring from our jobs, spending time with our family and friends. But frequently, we spend our days wishing the inevitable things that we’re not looking forward to away. Sometimes we don’t even realize what we’re wishing away. What inevitable things are coming?

There are many inevitable things that are coming our way, it’s just a matter of which one catches up with you first. The inevitable that I want to talk about right now deals with our health. Even though our health is so important to us and our future quality of life, we most likely still do a few too many things that are harmful to our health.

Sometimes we do them without realizing they’re harmful; sometimes we know exactly what we’re doing and what it’s causing our bodies. Somethings we just don’t want to change, or we think they’ll be too difficult to give up! But when the inevitable does catch up with us, and our bodies begin to show the effects, we need to start thinking about what we can do to reverse or even stop those effects.

These body changes are not all about getting old and gray. Do you know that our bodies start showing the signs of aging in our late 20’s? It’s true! At age 24, your brain begins to age. I guess that’s part of the reasons we moms can never remember our kids’ names!

Inevitable health changes you might already be experiencing

There are some really common changes that can happen to our bodies, and they might be subtle enough that we’ve been living when them for a while now without even recognizing that they’re happening.

A couple of these things may be a loss of hearing or vision changes. Issues with our sight can happen at almost any age; in fact, some children are born with vision problems. The same can be said for hearing, but it is a lot less common for hearing loss to happen at an early age.

If you’re noticing that it’s harder for you to hear the television or people have to repeat themselves multiple times, you might want to have your hearing checked. Your doctor might tell you that it’s time look into getting hearing aids. They types of hearing aids that are available nowadays are so small that people probably won’t even know that you have one in. Until you actually start using a hearing aid, you won’t realize how much you’ve been missing! If you have hearing issues, then hearing aids will certainly help improve the quality of your life.

Health changes that are easy to manage

There are some inevitable things we might face that will definitely be easier to manage than others. They’re most likely going to be much shorter lived and less permanent than others. But one big change that happens to our bodies is when all of the years of eating an unhealthy diet and not exercising catches up with us. Our bodies will really start to show the effects of these things, from weight gain to bad moods, there’s no running from these inevitable outcomes. This is why if is so important to keep our bodies healthy. A simple walk a day and a cleaner diet is all you need.

Changes for which you’re not prepared

The one thing that women aren’t going to be prepared for when it happens at a young age is early onset menopause. As a woman we always hear that menopause happens in our late 40’s or early 50’s, but this is not always the case. It can happen from the early 20’s and onward. If you do start missing periods or have symptoms of early menopause, it’s so important that you go to your doctor to get it checked out.
