Good news! Our favorite ultra-chic amateur sleuth, AGATHA RAISIN, is back on October 28! AGATHA RAISIN & THE HAUNTED HOUSE is a fright-and-humor packed installment of Acorn TV’s acclaimed comedic mystery series.
Agatha Raisin & The Haunted House
Ashley Jensen returns to her beloved titular character in this hilarious feature-length Halloween special. No ghosts or paranormal spirits are a match for amateur sleuth Agatha Raisin’s resourceful instincts, street-smart savvy or her uproarious antics.
In AGATHA RAISIN & THE HAUNTED HOUSE, Agatha Raisin is on the verge of a new era: reconciled with boyfriend James Lacey and launching her own detective agency. When the new company fails to attract clients, James suggests they investigate the haunting of Ivy Hall, a mystery that has baffled locals, historians and ambitious treasure hunters for centuries, as the perfect opportunity to drum up business.
When Agatha learns that the owner, Olivia Witherspoon, has been left terrified by the hauntings and the police refuse to assist, Agatha steps in to try to help the elderly woman learn what secrets lie hidden there. Agatha and her team of detectives learn that Olivia is universally despised by the locals for her abrasive and meddling nature, and the plot thickens when Olivia’s body is found the next day.
With the entire village seemingly having a personal connection and motive for wanting Olivia gone, it’s clear that solving these mysteries will be anything but simple. No one was expecting this first case to be quite so spooky!
Returning for Haunted House are Agatha’s former assistant, Roy; her friend, Sarah; eager Detective Constable Bill Wong; and the charming Sir Charles Fraith. Guest stars are Joe Sims, Clare Holman, and Mark Aiken. Joining the series is Agatha’s new assistant, Toni.
Stay tuned for three brand-new AGATHA RAISIN Series 3 mysteries in early 2020: The Deadly Dance, Love from Hell and The Pig that Turned.
Praise for Agatha Raisin
