The world can be a dark place. More and more we find ourselves and our children feeling overwhelmed by the unknown and the pressures of society. This book helps instill early on the fact that our fears can be our greatest strengths.

My review of Frankie’s Scared of Everything

Frankie’s Scared of Everything is a short children’s story about a little boy’s run away imagination in relation to all of the nighttime sounds he hears. Is that a dinosaur? Maybe that noise is a mole man! Do I hear a giant sea creature? As Frankie runs through the house, all of the troubling noises make his mind race.

When he finally arrives in mom’s room, she shows him that the sounds he hears are really just helpful machines that someone thought up in THEIR imaginations long ago. I love that this book teaches kids that their imaginations are a wonderful thing, and they can create anything they dream of.
