My review of In Love By Christmas

I’ll admit it. I’ve been watching far too many Hallmark Christmas movies. Now, wait a minute…is there such a thing as too many Hallmark Christmas movies? I don’t know! But, anyway, if you love Christmas love stories, then In Love By Christmas needs to be added to your book pile now!

Cari Lynn Webb really knows how to write stories that will pull on your heartstrings. I read her book The Charm Offensive when it first came out, and I fell in love with her writing. That book has kittens…. This book has little children running around like crazy while being fitted for a Christmas play. While those aren’t the main part of the stories, they are details that make Webb’s books even more enjoyable.

The characters in In Love By Christmas include ones that you will love and ones that will make you crazy! And they’re all perfectly written. They make the story come alive because they are so real. No one is perfect though some of us may think we are! So before you judge any of these characters (or anyone in real life!), remember that you’re flawed too. I say this because I judged a character in this book big time. I’m sure you’ll know which one when you read this.

I absolutely adore how giving Josie is. She’s not rolling in the dough, yet she gives her time which is far more valuable than money. Without giving away spoilers, I’ll just tell you that Josie didn’t have an easy life. She could have easily become a bitter woman, but she’s vibrant, kind, and (mostly) understanding. You’ll love her.

I know I’ve said it before, but I’m so glad that Harlequin has this Heartwarming line of books. They are clean romance books that just make your heart smile. I love all of the little details in In Love by Christmas because I could truly see the story playing out. It’s what made me think this…it would make a perfect Hallmark Christmas Movie! Seriously.

I hope that you love this book as much as I did! I give it 5 huge twinkling Christmas stars!
