Anders and Lise are married, in their 30s, love each other and have a wonderful daughter. They’ve been together for seven years, but the struggles of everyday life have brought them to the verge of divorce. Since they are not prepared to give up on each other, they start seeing a marriage counselor. The two of them are forced to laugh and cry their way through the history of their relationship: the intense highs of passion, romance and adventure; and the lows of affairs, jealousy, disappointments and misunderstandings. Will the counseling help them, and can they stomach hearing the truth, allowing love to return to their relationship? Find out February 6 when all 8 episodes of COUPLE TROUBLE are released.

What I think about the show
I LOVE it! As a member of the media, I have early access to certain networks’ programming, and Sundance Now is one of those networks. I’m up to episode 4 of COUPLE TROUBLE. I’d be a lot further if I didn’t have to do stuff like cleaning, cooking, letting the dog out…you know….life.
What I love most about the show is how Anders and Lise’s story is being told. The whole time, they’re at a marriage counselor. He asks them questions, and we are swept into the past, watching their story play out.
I absolutely love their marriage counselor. The questions he asks them stir up memories, and those memories help Anders and Lise better understand each other. How often do couples assume that their spouse thinks one way when they’re thinking the total opposite?
COUPLE TROUBLE is a show that all couples should watch! Since we can’t go to the fictional counselor’s office, we can at least listen to his questions and think about them! This show is funny. It’s heartwarming. And, at times, it’s heartbreaking. I adore the characters, and I think you will too. I can’t wait to finish the show to see if Anders and Lise can better understand each other and learn to talk about things rather than assuming what the other is thinking.
