Stealing Her Best Friend’s Heart Book Review
Stealing Her Best Friend’s Heart is such a charming, sweet story, and it’s a wonderful start to the new Golden Matchmaker’s Club series. I absolutely love the premise of the new series, though it would probably only work in a small town where everyone knows everyone else. Though the matchmaking group starts out small (only 2 members!) with perfectly good intentions, it slowly grows to a handful of older women and one man. They’re quite conniving and never see flaws in their plans…until things go awry!
These “plans” the original two members came up with involve Heidi and Reid. Heidi has lived with Alveda since her early teenage years when she ran away from home. Reid is Gayle Ann Masterson’s grandson, and she thinks it’s time for him to get married and start a family. Heidi and Reid had been best friends for years until they grew apart during college. Alveda and Gayle Ann conspire to push these two toward each other again. And so it begins…
I love Gayle Ann and Alveda! Their interactions are so entertaining and amusing, and I think you’ll love them too. “Watching” Heidi and Reid’s relationship develop warmed my heart, made me laugh, and made me believe that these were real people. Their characters have an extraordinary amount of depth.
Reading about the home renovations and Heidi’s involvement was especially entertaining. You’ll laugh at her attempts, yet you’ll cheer her on with a “You go girl,” too. I won’t give you any more of my favorite scenes since I don’t want to spoil your enjoyment; just know that they are many!
Needless to say, Stealing Her Best Friend’s Heart gets a huge recommendation from me. If you love clean, heartwarming romance, you’ll love it!
