Searching for Home Book Review

Searching for Home by Jill Weatherholt is a wonderful, inspirational second-chance romance book. I enjoy reading the Love Inspired books because I know they’ll include Christian themes like forgiveness and unconditional love. In this book, Meg and Luke deal with these issues.

Meg has sole custody of her sister’s triplets. When their dad left, Meg’s sister slowly realized that she was not a suitable parent. So, not only did Meg become a mom in one fell swoop, she also became a B&B owner. And neither of those things are easy! Meg is also a physical therapist, so she doesn’t have much time for a personal life. And she’s not looking for a relationship….

When Meg’s first and only love Luke Beckett returns to their small town, both are taken by complete surprise. Luke had no idea Meg was running the B&B or even living back in the town where they grew up. Since Luke and Meg had a rocky break-up, it’s not an ideal situation.

Searching for Home has all the elements of a heartwarming love story. You’ll see the hurt that Meg has dealt with since Luke’s departure. The triplets will teach you that it’s important to have someone you can trust to always be there for you. The road to forgiveness isn’t always easy, but it’s always necessary.

The main characters in Searching for Home are well-developed and realistic. I really appreciated that the side characters are also full of personality.

Searching for Home is a book that I think any romance lover will enjoy. The message of forgiveness woven throughout the story is wonderful, and it really made me think. We’ve been forgiven so much by our heavenly Father. And He loves us unconditionally. I’m looking forward to reading more books by Jill Weatherholt. I highly recommend this one!
