Camp Starfall is closing. But that doesn’t mean the past is going with it.

Despite her misgivings, Lindsey returns to the campground she last left as a broken-hearted teen. She’s determined to spend Camp Starfall’s farewell weekend focusing on the good memories she has of her time as a camper. But fate has other plans.

Lindsey’s teenage sweetheart Tyler shows up, stirring up feelings in her that had long lain dormant. Too bad she doesn’t have time to dwell on him. Someone is breaking into the cabins, and if she doesn’t find the culprit, more than her heart will be at stake.

My review of Summer Camp Culprit

Summer Camp Culprit is a cute, clean romance with a bit of cozy mystery thrown in. When the camp they attended is about to close, several former campers attend a reunion to celebrate their time at camp. The food and bunks are just as bad as Lindsey remembers. She also remembers being humiliated by her then boyfriend Tyler. As you can imagine, she left the camp that final year broken-hearted. When they reunite, Tyler finally tells Lindsey the truth and old hurts are mended.

However, all is not well at Camp Starfall. Lindsey is awakened one night by someone searching through hers and her cabin mates belongings. She also finds that the cafeteria has been searched. What is this mysterious person looking for? Who’s searching? Is it a camper or has some outsider found their way in? Lindsey, who earned the nickname Nancy Drew back in her younger days, is on the case!

Since the book is a short story, it’s not elaborately detailed, and you mainly get to know the characters on the surface. Nevertheless, it is a fun story that you can read quickly, and when you put it down, you’ll have a smile on your face. This story will especially appeal to those who loved Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden, or The Hardy Boys.  If you’re ready for a light and fun cozy short story, pick up Summer Camp Culprit. You’ll really enjoy it!

About C.K. Fyfe

C.K. Fyfe has always enjoyed a good mystery. Fyfe’s childhood love of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys led to a grown-up love of writing cozy mysteries with quirky, funny, and kindhearted characters. Fyfe lives in “The Wolverine State.” Much like wolverines, Fyfe’s villains have vicious dispositions, but the clever sleuths know how to tame their foes’ tempers.
