From author Erica Wynters comes another Camelot Flowers Mystery blooming with secrets, suspicions, and danger at every turn…
Things are finally looking up with florist Gwen Stevens’ family business, Camelot Flowers, which means her biggest problem now is making her heart choose between her lifelong crush on the charming Chris Crawford and her budding romance with Finn Butler, the new police detective who makes her want to stop and smell the roses.
But Gwen’s thorny love life takes a backseat when Shannon Wentworth, a newcomer to the small town of Star Junction, drops dead in the local coffee shop the day after she announces her candidacy for garden club president. Unfortunately, Margie Philips, Gwen’s surrogate aunt, has been garden club president for years and had threatened to win again this year at any cost—which suddenly puts her in the role of prime suspect in Wentworth’s untimely demise!
Determined to clear Margie’s name, Gwen digs deep and discovers a bouquet’s worth of secrets, including marital infidelity, a lawsuit threatening to ruin a local business, and even doubts about where Margie was right before the murder. With too many suspects all hiding something, will Gwen uncover the truth before the killer poisons her chances of a happily ever after?
Character Guest Post
How in the world did I find myself investigating another murder? Wait, before we get ahead of ourselves, let me introduce myself. My name is Gwen Stevens. I help my parents run our family flower shop, Camelot Flowers, in the small town of Star Junction, Illinois. My dad is obsessed with King Arthur and all things Knights of the Round Table, hence the name of our flower shop and my full name, Guinevere. My middle name is also related to tales of Camelot, but it’s so embarrassing that I don’t even want to mention it. If you want to know what it is, you’ll have to read Poppies, Perils, and Poison, where it’s revealed despite my best efforts to keep it a secret.
Earlier this year, I was forced to investigate the murder of a former high school classmate when Chris Crawford, one of my best friends and the not-so-secret love of my life became the prime suspect. The new police detective, Finn Butler, didn’t know Chris, which meant he also didn’t know that Chris would never kill anyone, despite what the evidence said. While everything ended well, including the real killer behind bars, my life became complicated due to my growing feelings for Finn clashing with my fading feelings for Chris. It didn’t help matters that Chris finally realized he liked me as more than a friend, something I’ve been wanting for years. I’m telling you, timing has never been on our side.
Even though investigating the murder was exciting at times, I was happy to go back to making beautiful flower arrangements. I certainly didn’t need another murder in town, this one happening right in front of me! To make matters worse, Margie Philips, my mom’s best friend, my surrogate aunt, and the receptionist at the police station threatened the woman the night before she died. The worst part? Margie won’t tell anyone where she was right before the murder. Here’s hoping I can uncover the truth before someone else I care about gets arrested for a crime they (hopefully) didn’t commit.

Erica Wynters may have lived most of her life in the frigid Midwest, but now she spends her time in the warmth and sunshine of Arizona. She loves hiking, hunting down waterfalls in the desert, reading (of course), and napping. Can napping be considered a hobby?
