My review of Hunted by a Killer

If you love inspirational suspense books, you’ve got to read Hunted by a Killer by Laurie Winter! It is non-stop suspense as investigators track down a serial killer. I loved Hunted by a Killer! Not only does it have edge-of-your-seat suspense, it’s also got great characters, romance, and inspiration.

Several years ago detective Charlotte Reid and FBI special agent Austin Walsh worked together on the serial killings, but when they weren’t getting results, Walsh was called back home to work on another case. Now that the killer is supposedly back, Austin is back in Presque, LA to work with Charlotte once again. In terms of the romance, I appreciated that Charlotte and Austin had spent a lot of time together in the past because it makes the romance more believable. The romance is always clean in Love Inspired Suspense books, and I adored the way the author presented Charlotte and Austin’s romance as it developed throughout the book.

Hunted by a Killer is a hard book to put down! Make sure you don’t start it close to bedtime! I really felt the pressure that Charlotte and Austin were under. Chasing a serial killer that eluded them once before had to have them doubting themselves. I always thought it would be cool to be in the FBI or CIA, but I would panic and probably cry when things were going too slowly! I don’t do well under pressure. All of the characters are very well-written, and I was kept guessing which character the serial killer was until close to the end.

I highly recommend Hunted by a Killer for its well-developed characters, strong message about faith, and page-turning suspense!
