My review of A Proposal for Her Cowboy

We’re back in Three Springs, Texas, one of my favorite places to be, and it’s Caleb Sloan’s turn to fall in love. He’s the last hold out among his brothers, and he’s been determined to stay detached. Then Lacey Nash comes home, and that determinedness slowly fades away. 

I absolutely loved A Proposal for Her Cowboy! I’ve read every book in Cari Lynn Webb’s Three Springs Texas series, and I’ve adored each of them. It feels like coming home when I read this series. The characters have become like old friends, and I would be perfectly content if the series never ended. The small town setting lends itself to a cozy feeling, and watching the romances bloom never gets old! You can jump right in with this book even if you’ve not read the others. They’re all easily read as standalone books!

Neither Lacey nor Caleb wants a romance. Lacey wants to focus on reconnecting with her daughter, and Caleb still wants to be the unattached Sloan; the one who’s known for never taking life too seriously. However, these two were really good friends back when they were growing up together, and life has a funny way of pushing you right into the place you’re supposed to be…in this case, together. And life has some help from well-intentioned (meddling) townsfolk who know that Lacey and Caleb belong together! 

As usual, the characters are very well-written! Lacey’s ex’s new wife is just so sweet. I loved Lacey’s daughter Aspen, and how she connected with Caleb’s nieces was really cute. Like I said, I loved “visiting” the recurring characters because they really add life and humor to the book. Of course, Lacey and Caleb were my favorites! Seeing how they overcame the obstacles (self-imposed, really) that made them doubt themselves, and watching them become stronger as people made me think about the obstacles that I put in my own way! 

I highly recommend A Proposal for Her Cowboy for its wonderful characters, charming small town setting, and sweet romance. It gets 5 stars from me!
