Almost everyone loves pets. However, there are far too many people who buy or adopt them without thinking the decision through properly. All too often, I hear horrible stories about people who bring a dog or cat home to a house that hasn’t been prepared in the slightest, and they end up putting the animal through hell, whether intentionally or not. Pet-proof your Home
If you don’t want to end up resenting your furry friend in the first week, or having to rush them to the vet, then you need to make sure your home is thoroughly pet-proofed before you bring them home. You may not do it perfectly the first try, and very few people do. However, you should at least move any exposed cords well out of reach, along with pot plants if you’re bringing a cat home.
