My review of Claire Holloway Is Winging It
If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, cause you to swoon, and just maybe strengthen your walk with God, you need to read Claire Holloway Is Winging It by Angela Ruth Strong! Strong is actually a flight attendant which makes everything in this book so much more realistic. It was really eye-opening and educational too! I try to always be nice to flight attendants when I fly, but I’m going to be even nicer now!
I adored Claire and Nathan! They’re both so authentic. They act like I’d expect someone going through what they go through to act. Though Claire has a boyfriend, which she is always quick to tell people, Nathan can’t help being drawn to her. They have very similar personalities and are in forced proximity a lot. She’s funny and bubbly and dorky and sometimes, a complete mess! Nathan respects the fact that she has a boyfriend and never crosses the line. After all, it’s only his heart that’s at risk. At least that’s what he thinks until a friend points out that Claire could get hurt too.
Both Claire and Nathan go through spiritual growth during the book. Claire realizes some things that she’s been contemplating aren’t God honoring, and she also changes the way that she looks at people. Nathan learns to let go of bitterness because it affects his Christian walk with God. I loved following Claire and Nathan and the adventures they have in the air and on the ground. The side characters are great too! I could go on and on, but you just need to read this for yourself to discover just how delightful it is!
I love, love, love this book! It is filled with so much heart and humor, and I recommend it 100%!!
