My Review of His Ranch Redemption
This book really touched my heart, and I just loved it! His Ranch Redemption is a second chance romance in Harlequin’s Heartwarming line which means it is a completely clean book with kisses only. The story revolves around Sarah and Pete who eloped as teens whose marriage ended in a disillusionment several months later.
The characters in this book leaped off of the page. I’m so glad that this is going to be a series because I hope to see one of Sarah’s friends get a happily-ever-after too! This friend helps Sarah organize events in the wedding/event venue that Sarah created from a rundown barn on her late grandparents’ ranch in hopes of creating an additional income stream. Sarah’s daughter is a delightful little six year old who has a bond with a donkey that you’ll get to know. Though Sarah was not looking forward to seeing Pete, who came home for a mutual friend’s wedding again, she and Pete agree that they can get along for the week he’s there.
When that week turns into many more weeks, they realize that they have unresolved hurts from the past, and those need to be dealt with before they can really move on. And, Pete’s plan has always been to move on…to Phoenix. As with all heartwarming romances, of course he’s not going to leave! I loved how Sarah and Pete fell in love again and were able to see each other as the adults they now are, not the teens they once were.
I highly recommend this lovely, moving book. There were times that I cried and times I laughed, but all the while I loved it and couldn’t stop reading! Five stars!
