My review

If you love small town, feel-good Christmas books, I think you’ll really enjoy Puppy Love & Snowflake Kisses by Jennifer Faye. It’s a book that you can easily read in a day or two, and it will get you in the mood for all things Christmas. 

This book has the forced-proximity, enemies to friends to more tropes in spades. Belle is certain she knows what kind of man Parker is…grouchy and a pain! However, that’s probably because he’s the sheriff and seems to like pulling Belle over for traffic violations. Is that the case, or is he just looking for excuses to see her? When her home is broken into and her precious puppy Odie is dognapped, Parker goes full-on protective mode. Belle, having been on her own for many years, is not crazy about having someone around her just about 24/7. When another break-in occurs, they realize this is more than just a dognapping, and Belle is grateful for her protector. 

I really love how Parker and Belle realize just how much they don’t know about each other even though they’ve known each other since school. Sometimes, maybe more than sometimes, we make assumptions about people without really getting to know them. The forced-proximity kind of “forces” Belle and Parker to get to know each other which eventually leads them to love. 

There are plenty of heartwarming and humorous moments in this charming romance. I loved the Christmas-y small town setting, the cozy feel, and the happily-ever-after! I definitely recommend it to those of you who love those same feelings!
