On April 27, Marvel will make our dreams come true with the release of INFINITY WAR! Okay, maybe I have a flair for the dramatic, but you know how I feel about Marvel movies! As we’ve been re-watching the past 10 years of Marvel movies, I’ve been looking for ways they’re setting us up for INFINITY WAR.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

This week we’re talking AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. You can find the whole list of movies as well as a printable checklist on my Marvel Movies to Watch before Infinity War post. Watching AGE OF ULTRON AFTER seeing BLACK PANTHER was SO cool! I forgot about Klaue and the whole Wakanda connection in AGE OF ULTRON…the vibranium and Klaue losing his arm… These things just show the genius that is Marvel. The stories are interwoven, and watching them multiple times just makes me appreciate these writers, directors, and producers that much more.

Wakanda and vibranium

Having seen the stills and trailers for INFINITY WAR, we know that much of it will take place in Wakanda. When Ultron “created” himself, he found Klaue because he wanted vibranium for his body since vibranium is the strongest element on earth. The Avengers track Ultron and ultimately find that Klaue has a LOT of vibranium. We know that vibranium will definitely be used in INFINITY WAR! I am seriously psyched to see how Shuri and Banner work together to come up with new and amazing tech using vibranium.

The mind stone, Vision and Wanda

Then there is Loki’s scepter which holds the mind stone. This is huge. The mind stone is a part of Vision. Obviously, you’ve seen the INFINITY WAR trailer where one of Thanos’ Black Order is removing the mind stone from Vision. Will he be able to live without the mind stone? I hope so! Speaking of Vision, AGE OF ULTRON is where we officially meet the twins, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch). We know that Wanda can manipulate people’s thoughts, so is she manipulating Vision’s mind during the trailer where we see Vision as a man? Will she and Vision be able to live happily ever after? That would be nice…

Death of the Avengers?

Wanda’s ability to manipulate minds also plays hugely as a possible foreshadowing to the death of the Avengers. When she plays with Tony’s mind during AGE OF ULTRON, is she showing him the future or his greatest fears? We all know that there are going to be some major deaths here. I’ll be taking my box of tissues!
