If you are planning a trip to New York City, then you definitely have a lot of planning to do. After all, you will have to think about the sights that you are going to want to see, the things that there are to do, and even the general cost of the activities too. This can be overwhelming, and you shouldn’t try to get everything done on your first day. Instead, just focus on doing the following.

Planning a Trip to New York City

Plan to take a Hop-On, Hop-Off tour on your trip to New York City

You should plan your NYC trip by going on a hop-on, hop-off tour. This will cover dozens of sights, and you even get the chance to sit back and hear the hustle and bustle of New York without the pushing and shoving. Some of the many sights that you will see when you go on a sightseeing tour include the Brooklyn Bridge, Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building. The tour will provide you with a fantastic overview of the major landmarks in the city, and it will also give you the chance to step off at any time. This is the best thing to do on your first day, and the main reason for this is because you get to put your feet up while still feeling as though you’re doing something fun on your travels.

Planning a Trip to New York City Visit Times Square

Times Square

Visiting Times Square is free, and it is one of the most touristy-things that you can do when you are in New York City. That being said, it’s so popular for a very good reason. It gives you the unique chance to see some of the most bizarre figures in NYC culture. You will probably only be spending a short time here, so try to do it in the morning. When you do, you will then have all day to see some of the other sights, and this is a fantastic way for you to make the most out of your trip.

The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum

If you’ve got a history buff with you, plan to include this museum on your trip to New York City. The museum is completely dedicated to showcasing our American military. They offer a large range of permanent and rotating exhibits which all highlight the conflicts and battles that happened. They have authentic photographs as well as authentic artifacts. The museum really is a fantastic place for you to visit. You might feel as though you are stepping back in time. It’s free to visit as well, which is ideal for the first day because it will free up your budget for other days. If you want to visit more attractions or see a stunning event, then why not look into NYC show tickets?

NYC Cruise

The NYC cruise gives you the chance to see panoramic views of the skyline. You get to see Battery Park, the Statue of Liberty and even the Brooklyn Bridge. The tours here only run every couple of hours, and it is limited to seasonal availability as well. If you plan your trip to New York City during their open season, this is something that you don’t want to miss out on. Tickets are very easy to buy, and if you have a pass then you may even save money.
