Four Chambers
Every time Andra Stone crosses paths with Everett Covington, trouble follows. First she loses her scholarship. Then she loses the apartment she’d wanted more than anything. But tragedy hits hardest when she loses her grandmother—the best friend Andra has ever known. She determines that Everett is a talisman of ill fortune. When Everett comes to work in her hospital and is applying for the same position she’d been working toward since residency, Andra believes him to be her personal poltergeist.
The human heart has four chambers—four chances to get it right. Andra has only one chance left.
My Review of Four Chambers
Have you been keeping up with the Power of the Matchmaker books so far? They have all been amazing, and this one is no exception. Four Chambers is the fifth book in this series, and though they are part of a series, the stories are all unique. The common thread throughout the books is Pearl, the Matchmaker. In Four Chambers, Pearl shows up as a doctor….or so Andra and Everett believe.
Four Chambers is a story that spans years: years of college, graduate school, residency, and beyond. And through those years, Andra and Everett are on a collision course with destiny. Through each phase of their education they connect, yet something always tears them apart. Their relationship grows with each re-connection until finally Andra and Everett make the final connection.
This story is just so good. It is very fast paced even though it spans years. I love how Andra and Everett’s relationship begins. There is definitely a lot of heartache throughout the book since the characters try to fight against their destiny to be together. The characters are very well developed. They are strong and funny, yet they are flawed. The way Everett was raised just breaks my heart, yet he is resilient and stronger for his past. I love Andra’s heart. She is amazingly giving.
If you love clean romance, you must read Four Chambers. Be sure you add the other Power of the Matchmaker books to your lists too!
Who doesn’t love “clean romance”!? Thanks for sharing.
Besos Sarah.
I just finished this one last night. I loved it too. Even though I’m a part of the series, it’s just as exciting to me to read each installment and see how the other authors wrote their stories, and how they involved Miss Pearl. So glad you loved it and are enjoying the series!
