An Easy Guide To A Happy and Healthy Baby

Children

Thanks for sharing!

When you are blessed with a new arrival in the family, you will find that most of your time is dedicated to making them both healthy and happy. A happy baby means things will be a lot easier for you regarding sleep and stress, so it’s important to do everything you can to maximize this. You will get lots of advice about parenting happy children from people that you know. Some of the advice you will want, and some maybe not so much. But there are a few thing areas you will need to focus on to ensure your baby is as healthy and happy as possible. Read on to find out what they are.

Tips for a happy and healthy baby

Feeding Time

Any family with a new baby knows that feeding time is going to be your top priority. Parents often worry that baby is eating enough; but usually, they will let you know when it’s time for a feeding.

There is also a lot of info on how good breast milk is out there for feeding too. But what can do if you can’t breastfeed? Well, if you are producing milk, you can get a breast pump and express this, then use a bottle to feed Baby. Don’t forget to consult a lactation specialist if you’re having issues with breastfeeding! I know it really helped me when I had my first baby! I had a cesarean, and it was really painful just holding her, let alone getting her to latch on!

If you are no longer producing breast milk, don’t panic. You can use something like Holle Organic Baby Formula instead. It is full of nutrients that your baby needs to grow up big and strong.

It is also be useful to have a good stock of bibs and feeding cloths; so when one gets dirty, you have a clean one on hand for the next feeding.

Bath Time

Bathing baby can be a bit nerve-wracking for new parents. They are often scared that they will get the water temperature wrong, or something will happen to the baby when they are in the bath. Luckily there are plenty of items that you can buy to make bathtime a lot less stressful.

You can buy special baths that means baby can’t move about too much in the water. You can also buy thermometers so you can test that the water isn’t too hot or cold for baby’s bath time.

Play Time

While new babies don’t need too much in the way of toys, they do grow up and develop very quickly. That means they will soon be exploring the world around them and learning news things before you know it.

It is a great idea to get a few educational toys to help them begin their learning journey. Traditional wooden counting blocks can help them develop their fine motor skills as well as encourage numeracy. Matching games are also great for learning new words and associations too when they get a little older.

Reading Time

You know how much I love books, so I am a huge supporter of reading to your baby! It can be started with your baby no matter how young. While you won’t be expecting them to read for a bit, studies have shown that when families read to young babies, it can have all sorts of benefits. They will learn to recognize your voice, and it can be a beneficial way of getting them off to sleep at night too.
