Having cheap travel insurance for peace of mind

Traveling with family can be so much more than just touring the city, going into museums, and sightseeing. You have already gone to the trouble of booking the best accommodation you can find and looking for affordable or cheap travel insurance, you might as well choose activities that can truly turn a family vacation into an active journey. What we mean is getting out of your comfort zones together and experiencing a legitimate adventure. In this article, we will give you a rundown of places for families wanting that extra punch of adrenaline in their trip.

Adventure Trips All Families Should Take

The Canadian Rockies

If this is your first family adventure, the Canadian Rockies might be a good start. Its mountain range reaches from British Columbia to Albert, and within it are alpine lakes, wildlife, and ice-capped peaks. You and your family can visit Banff (glacier-fed Lake Louise), Mt. Robson, Yoho National Park (Takakkaw Falls), or Jasper Park (Athabasca glacier). Activities you can do around the region are hiking, biking, or kayaking.

Glacier hikes

If mountain hiking is already awesome, wait until you tell them that you will be walking on glaciers in Norway. There are about 20 glaciers in Norway. You can visit 11 of them in Fjord. The most amazing thing about glacier walks is not just the endless landscape of blue or the changing light, it is the noise. The sounds of the ice, melting and dripping, can get very loud. For safety reasons, tourists who go on glacier walks are given ice picks, ropes, and crampons by tour guides.

Explore the wildlife in Zambia

Botswana is the go-to place when it comes to safari adventures, but because of its popularity, it might be a little too crowded for you. The good news is, Zambia is the perfect alternative. There are far less people visiting its outback, which means your family can get the safari experience without shouldering your way through crowds. Visit Victoria Falls, which stands at a whopping 300 feet or hire Zambian guides at South Luangwa National Park for a three-day walking safari. Ready your cameras though, because you might get to see elephants, giraffes, lions, impalas, and wildebeests.

Island hopping and snorkeling in the Maldives

There is an abundance of diverse marine life just waiting to be seen by you. Since one atoll has only one resort, you can just to visit any of the atolls, like Vakarufalhi Island or Maafushi Island. Then each resort offers excursion packages like island hopping, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, whale shark watching, even an evening yacht dinner.

Don’t be afraid of the risks

What really makes parents hesitate are the risks, and it is understandable. Adventures can be a little dangerous, regardless of the amount of adrenaline that you can get from it. The best way to ensure that your trip remains safe is to hire guides, research the location, and make sure that you have listened to the instructions well.

This could be a unique experience for you and your kids. It can be one that teaches them the value of taking care of the environment. It can open their eyes to the beauty of nature. Having cheap travel insurance can give you more peace of mind when you travel.
