Here are some tips to keep you and your family safe!

Keep tabs on your children

Keeping tabs on your children can feel like an invasion of their privacy, especially when they are teenagers. But they’re still a child, and it’s your responsibility to keep your family safe while they’re under your supervision. There have been cases in the past where someone has said they’re on vacation and then within the time they’ve been away, they’ve been burgled. So, keep your travel plans to yourself, even though it’s probably very tempting to share. Just wait until you’re back to share about your time away. You should not be on social media much while you’re on vacation anyway! Enjoy your time together instead.

Be watchful of small children

Small children definitely have a mind of their own; therefore, in the blink of an eye, they can go wandering off. No matter how busy you get, your focus and attention should always be on your children. When you’re out in public, always have a hold of them and don’t let them wander off too far if they are in a playground. Keep a watchful eye on them at all times. Don’t be focused on your phone!  If you parent with your partner, then make sure you both have an understanding of who’s keeping track of where your children are at all times, no matter where you are.
