Bound by a Ring and a Secret (Wedding Bells at Lake Como #1)
by Jennifer Faye
A mistaken identity…
…a proposal that changes everything!
Photographer Gianna is done with men. Retreating to her villa on the shore of Lake Como, Gianna is stunned to find gorgeous Dario renting her house! When Dario is mistaken for her long-gone fiancé, they realize a fake engagement could solve problems for them both. Pretending to be in love should be easy, but what happens when very real feelings start to grow?
My review of Bound by a Ring and a Secret
If you haven’t read any books by Jennifer Faye, you’re really missing out! I’ve read many of her books and have loved every one of them. Bound by a Ring and a Secret is another of her delightfully entertaining books. As you can see from the synopsis, this is a fake engagement book; this scenario is one of my favorites! I love the Hallmark movies where someone needs a fake boyfriend/girlfriend, and of course, the relationships have a happily ever after. Happily ever after is what you can expect from Jennifer Faye! You’ll always finish her books with a smile!
Bound by a Ring and a Secret has two very strong-willed main characters. This makes for some funny and cute interactions. As you can imagine, shortly after the “mistaken identity” happens, sparks begin to fly. Obviously the two have to get to know each other if they’re going to pull their “relationship” off! The supporting characters play important roles in this book; they’re not just filler. I love that Faye always puts a lot of thought into each of the characters in her books.
In addition to the characters, you’ll love the beautifully descriptive setting in this romance. I live my travel dreams through books, and Bound by a Ring and a Secret had me daydreaming about being in a villa on Lake Como.
Faye’s books in the Harlequin Romance line are fairly tame compared to some. She’s got plenty of sizzle without being graphic. That’s something I really appreciate. Leave somethings to our imaginations! The romance isn’t all just about a physical attraction or interaction; it’s based on having deep discussions and finding out what makes the other person tick. It’s the type of romance that you know will last!
I enjoyed Bound by a Ring and a Secret immensely, and if you’re a “fake engagement” romance lover, you’re going to love this book!
