Guest Post Childproofing while Traveling

We all know while traveling with the kids, it is necessary to have infant car seats or children’s helmets when we are on bicycles, however it is also helpful to know about other ways of keeping children safe while traveling:

1. Lock car doors

Never forget to check if car doors are closed properly and that you locked them. Use the child safety locks and don’t forget to lock the car from inside.

2. Water in the car

It is very helpful to always to have a bottle of water in the car, which you can replace regularly. Being thirsty or dirty is a part of childhood and having water easily available can always be useful.

Especially, be careful when you are in an exotic country with your children. The different environment and hot weather can easily cause dehydration, so children need to drink much more water than they usually would at home.

3. Noisy toys

Don’t take noisy toys while traveling in the car or on public transport. Whereas on public transport it is more about not wanting to annoy other people, in the car it can be dangerous for your concentration while you are driving.

4. First aid kit

It does not matter if you are just going to the playground in neighborhood or you travel abroad. The first aid kit is the best thing what you can have in your car, apart from your children. 🙂

5. The basic medicine

Whenever possible, take the medicine which you use normally at home, when the kids are sick because they could react badly to a medicine from a different country. Also it can be inconvenient to find a doctor, hospital or pharmacy abroad.

6. Travel health insurance

Definitely! When you travel with the kids, just do it!
And last thing: If your child wants to touch everything at the public toilets or lick a belt of an escalator, just don’t let him/her! 🙂
