Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas? Yes, please! Spirit Airline’s Newest Routes from CAK

Thanks for sharing!

Hey, Canton and Akron area people! I’ve got great news for you. Back in October, I shared the awesome news that you could fly with Spirit airlines to four Florida airports: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa. Well, now you can fly out of CAK with Spirit to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas! Pack your bags and get ready to travel!

Why you want to fly with Spirit from CAK

If you’ve ever been to the Akron Canton Airport, you know that it is a much smaller, much less overwhelming airport than others in this area of Ohio. When we were traveling back to CAK from Orlando in December, I was completely overwhelmed! I have been to LAX, but I was way more overwhelmed with Orlando’s airport. I breathed a sigh of relief as we disembarked from our flight into a nice and calm airport.

Ways Spirit saves you money

If you can pack all of your stuff in a 18″x14″x8″ bag, your bag flies for free. If you can’t, be sure to buy your bags early since you’ll save money (around $30 a bag) that way.

If you don’t mind getting your seat assigned to you at the gate, your seating assignment is free. That’s fine for single travelers or those of you who don’t like your family….If you do want to pick your seat ahead of time, you can do that too. You’ll just pay extra.

Spirit seats are cozy…meaning light on legroom. If you want to stretch out, you’ll want to pay extra for those big seats up front. If you’re on a quick flight, I’d say save your money and just be a little squished for a couple of hours.

You won’t get snacks or drinks on your flight unless you pay for them. Eat before you leave and save yourself some money.

Be sure you know when you’re going, because cancelling or changing your reservation will cost you too.

Print your boarding pass ahead of time at home and you’ll save too because it is free. Otherwise you’ll pay up to $10.
