Spring and Sea Bags

Sail into Spring with Handcrafted Sea Bags

It’s hard to believe that spring will be here in a few weeks! We’re buried in snow in Ohio, but there is an end in sight. I love when it starts to smell like spring outside. Getting out into the sunshine after a long, dark winter does amazing things for my spirits. So do these cute, handcrafted bags from Sea Bags.

Sea Bags start out as sails, and are then transformed into nautically inspired accessories. The cheery colors and patterns are perfect for those of us who are inspired by all things nautical. The ocean is where I belong. I always say I was born in the wrong state! I belong by the sea. With Sea Bags, I feel like I’ve got a little bit of the ocean with me right in the Midwest.

Though I can’t escape to the ocean for a beach weekend right now, my adorable Sea Urchin Tote cheers me up just looking at it and remembering that winter doesn’t last forever. My Sea Urchin Sea Bag was handcrafted from recycled sails on the working waterfront in Portland, Maine, USA.

As soon as the weather warms up, I am planning on spending at least part of my days walking and relaxing in parks. Getting out in nature is soothing and healing for your soul. I’ll be taking my handcrafted Sea Bag along with me. It is just the right size to hold a small blanket, sunscreen, my phone, a bottle of water, a protein bar, sunglasses, a book or tablet and whatever else I might decide that I need.

What a cool idea. I love it. And they’re super cute too. I grew up in California, only an hour away from the beach. Now I live in Texas, in a galaxy far, far, away from the ocean. I miss the healing balm of the ocean. It really does calm your soul.

I know the feeling! I would love to be able to take a day trip to the ocean at least once a week!
