Bone Soup: A Spooky Tasty Tale

My Review of Bone Soup
Halloween is such a fun time of the year for little ones…okay big folks love it too. Dressing up, going trick-or-treating, watching spooky movies…it’s so much fun. The candy isn’t bad either. Halloween books are just one more great thing about this time of the year. BONE SOUP is a book you’re going to want to add to your kids’ libraries! It is a twist on the classic tale STONE SOUP.
I’m sure you know that story. A little bit of trickery and a whole lot of sharing and you can get soup from a stone; or in this case, a bone! These witches only have a bone in their cupboard, so they head out trick-or-treating. Some dragon wings here and earthworms there, and soon the witches have a tasty soup which they share with their monster friends who just happened to donate the ingredients!
I love that the author includes the yummy Bone Soup recipe in this book too! But you won’t be using dragon wings or earthworms or eyeballs to make this soup. Thankfully, she gives you some edible substitutions!
Teachers and parents alike will love this Bone Soup Story Hour Kit which includes discussion questions, vocabulary words, activities and more! It is FREE to download! Buy a copy of BONE SOUP below, or enter to win a copy! Thanks to the publishers, one of my readers will get their own copy of BONE SOUP.
