Ingredients

  • 1 c all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c cold salted butter grated
  • 5 T ice water
  • 2 T granulated sugar
  • 3 c canned cherry pie filling
  • 1 large egg whisked

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F. Cut parchment paper to fit the air fryer basket.

  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, butter, ice water, and sugar until a soft ball of dough forms.

  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough into a 12" × 16" rectangle. Cut dough into six rectangles by cutting across the center, then down into three columns. Each rectangle will be 4" × 8".

  4. Place 1⁄2 cup pie filling onto the lower half of each rectangle. Fold the top over the filling and press the edges closed with a fork.

  5. Using a pastry brush, gently brush top of each pie with egg. Place pies on parchment in the air fryer basket, working in batches as necessary.

  6. Cook 15 minutes, turning after 10 minutes, until golden brown and flaky. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
