Grandma’s Flannel Cakes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 T. baking powder
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 eggs separated
  • 2 T. melted butter

Instructions

  1. Sift or mix together flour, baking powder and salt
  2. In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks and milk
  3. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients
  4. Add melted butter
  5. Beat the egg whites until stiff and peaks form
  6. Gently fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites
  7. Cook on a hot griddle until bubbles form
  8. Flip and when steam rises from griddle, they're done!
