Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • gel food coloring pink and purple
  • 1 container sanding sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 350ยบ F

  2. Using a stand mixer, combine cake mix, vegetable oil, and 2 eggs until combined

  3. Divide the batter into three bowls

  4. Mix Purple food coloring into one bowl
  5. Mix Pink food coloring into the second bowl
  6. Leave the third bowl free of color

  7. Take about 1 teaspoon of each color of dough and form into tablespoon sized balls

  8. Pour the sanding sugar into a bowl

  9. Roll cookie balls into the sanding sugar

  10. Place cookie dough balls about 2 inches apart on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
  11. Lightly push each cookie dough ball down so that it becomes a thick but flat disk
  12. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes

  13. Cool completely
