DreamWorks Home

How has your summer been going? Mine is going way too quickly! Every time I think of back-to-school, I get a sick feeling in my stomach. I know a lot of parents love back-to-school, but I can’t stand it! This will only be my son’s second full year in school as he was always homeschooled until his junior year. Yep. That means he is going to be a senior! My baby! My last child will be graduating. Hate it. It was bad enough when my daughter graduated! Where has the time gone?

An update: June 2018

It’s been 2 summers since I wrote this post. Cherish the time you’ve got with your kids. My son is now employed full-time, and I rarely see him! Trust me. Make family time a HUGE priority!

If you’ve been following my Summer Fun Series (SFS) you’ll see that we have done some fun things including:

  • Seeing Cinderella, Insurgent, and Age of Adaline
  • Going to the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour and watching Pitch Perfect 2
  • Seeing Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 and being super disappointed in it
  • Going to Wildwater Kingdom

Our latest adventure was seeing DreamWorks Home at the cheap theater. It. Is. Adorable. I was really worried that it was not going to be that great since it didn’t seem to stay in the big theaters for all that long. I needn’t have worried. It was just so cute and funny.

Home_(2015_film)_logo

Home shares the story of Tip, a girl who moved to the US from Barbados, and Oh, an alien from…well, all over! It is a story about wanting to fit in. It is about love and friendship. And it is about never giving up when things get rough! I can’t say enough good things about Home from DreamWorks. You are really going to want to buy this one for your collection! DreamWorks Home was released on DVD and BluRay July 28, 2105. It stars Rhianna, Jim Parsons and Jennifer Lopez. The soundtrack is really good and features songs from both actresses.

Have you seen DreamWorks Home yet? I highly advise you to do it if you haven’t 🙂
