Want to be healthier? Stop doing these things!
If you are sitting down while you read this then there is a high chance that you are shortening your lifespan right now! That’s not a pretty thought, but there are things that you can do to try to extend your lifespan and undo the damage that has already been done.
Sitting Down for Hours on End
Did you know that you could be shortening your lifespan by two years by sitting down for more than 3-4 hours every day? Exercise may not be able to change the effects of this, so you’ll need to take a different approach. You need to get up out of your chair from time to time and take a walk. Of course, if you are at work then you probably won’t be able to do this for the fun of it, but you can go to the water station, make some tea or something similar. By just taking a walk for a few seconds, you can easily get the blood pumping again, and this is a great way for you to really boost your health.
Being Unsociable
Studies have shown that people who do not have strong social connections tend to die younger when compared to those that do. The study combined data from over 148 different research pieces, and the elderly are most at risk here. Although it helps to connect with your friends on social media, it really helps to get out there and socialize from time to time. If your workplace is throwing a party, don’t be afraid to go, and don’t be afraid to get out there a bit more. You may have to push yourself, but it is worth it in the end.

Not Working Out
A lot of people struggle to see the difference between being healthy and working out. They feel that if they’re stepping on the treadmill, that they are committing to getting a six-pack and endless diets. This is not the case at all, and it is more than possible for you to really stay healthy without having to worry about going all the way. Working out once a week is enough for you to change your life, and you can even try to go on walks if you don’t feel like working out is for you.
