Identify Your Tone
Finding the right makeup products is all about knowing your skin tone and the kind of colors that’ll work well with it. And for the majority of people, skin tone is split into four categories: fair, light, medium, and dark. Some people like to call these by the seasons, with fair skin tones usually known as ‘winter’ skin tones and deep skin tones ‘summer’, etc.
You’ll also need to determine your undertone here, and this is very simple to do. Just take a look at your arms – do you see veins under the surface? If they’re blue or purple, you’ve got a cool undertone, if green, it’s warm, and if you don’t really see anything, you’re neutral!
Now Complement This Tone
You need a bridge here; you need to know your tone, and then build upon it. So, once you’ve discovered your skin tone, and its undertone, you need to find shades of makeup that will complement this tone. You need to work with blushes and eye shadow that’ll bring out the color of your skin, and the hue of your cheeks, and make you look like you’re glowing more than ever!
