Do you have a little girl who is all about the dresses? I’ve known many little girls just like that! They love to dress up in beautiful dresses…sometimes more than one dress at a time! They look at pants and turn up their noses at them.
Lulupop is just like that. She does not want to wear pants. Period. She doesn’t care if her dress slows her down, stops her from doing fun activities or even causes her pain and suffering! You see, she’s got a very short memory. She tends to forget that the previous dress wearing day caused her to have no fun. So she chooses her colorful dresses day after day.
Her mother, being the tolerant parent she is, lets Lulupop make her own choices. Lulupop has to live with the consequences of her choices. I love the mom in this book! Rather than fight it out with her daughter, she allows her to see that sometimes what she wants isn’t the best decision after all. Kids need to learn that sometimes, moms really do know best!
This is an adorable story that all children will love. The illustrations are sweet and really bring the story to life. I highly recommend reading this with your child!
