Chocolate Covered Pretzel Bread Pudding with Labriola

Food

Thanks for sharing!

Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to try Labriola’s Pretzel Bread! Can I say HEAVEN?! It is the best tasting bread ever. I got to try the pretzel slider rolls. The first time I tried it I had leftover meatloaf on it and it was so good! Then I was just sticking them in the microwave and putting butter on them because they are just that good. They taste just like a soft pretzel but better since they are nice and puffy and doughy, and they smell so good! I know I am gushing now, but you should have seen me when I was actually eating them.

Labriola’s Pretzel Bread

Soft pretzels always remind me of sports. Isn’t it funny how you relate certain foods to certain memories. Random thought…one very vivid memory I have of food is the first time I made “poor man’s steak.” I was watching Oprah and Cher was on the show. So now anytime I think of that food, I think of Oprah and Cher.

Not only can you use these pretzel slider rolls for sandwiches, you can also use them in recipes! Here is one that looks delicious! It’s no longer on their website, so this is the only place you can get it. Doesn’t it sound amazing?

CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZEL BREAD PUDDING

Ingredients

1 dozen Labriola Pretzel Bread (Rolls)

2 c.Β  heavy cream

3 eggs

Β½ c. sugar

ΒΌ ea. vanilla bean

Pinch of salt

1/4 -1/2 c. chocolate chips

Directions

1. Cut pretzel bread into 1 inch pieces

2. Let sit out overnight or lightly toast in oven

3. Heat cream and sugar, till sugar is dissolved

4. Temper into eggs, whisk eggs while slowly adding cream

5. Add vanilla and salt

6. Let cool, so as not to melt chocolate chips

7. Toss bread with custard mixture and chocolate chips

8. Bake in 9X9 pan at 300F with a small pan of water underneath

What is your favorite way to make bread pudding? If you want another way to make it, try this or my double chocolate bread pudding recipe.
