Summer has flown by. I know people who have kids going back to school already! If your kids are going back to school soon, these Riley’s Memories Trix Treats make a great lunch snack. Are yours still on summer break? Great! This is a super easy treat to make with them to celebrate Pixar Fest at home this week. You still have time to get to Pixar Fest. It ends September 3, so don’t miss out on the fun!

Inside Out
After Riley is uprooted from her life in Minnesota and moved to San Francisco, her emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness – conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school. If you haven’t seen INSIDE OUT, you are missing out! It is filled with so many emotions….yeah, I went there! And it is adorable.
Inside Out Inspired Riley’s Memories Trix Cereal Krispy Treats
This week I’ve got INSIDE OUT inspired Trix Treats for you. Life, Family, Joy has a delicious Memory Truffles recipe over on her blog.
In INSIDE OUT, you get to see inside Riley’s mind where her orb-shaped memories are stored as different colors: yellow for joy, purple for fear, red for anger, green for disgust, and blue for sadness. These Trix Treats are inspired by these memory orbs, and they are very tasty! I was going to make them with Fruity Pebbles, but then I remembered Trix! I rarely buy cereal anymore because my kids are older and don’t eat it, so I forgot all about Trix! Getting old is not fun. I guess that those kids were right…”Silly, Rabbit, Trix is for kids.”

INSIDE OUT is featured in the Pixar Play Parade as Joy and Sadness take flight aboard Riley’s rocket wagon, with Bing Bong himself cheering them on. See how they are on the memory orbs? This is such a fun float! This INSIDE OUT unit is accompanied by music from the movie including Main Theme and Bing Bong Song.
Pixar Pier Food and Shopping Inspired by Inside Out
When Pixar Pier opened June 23, INSIDE OUT got a much bigger role to play at Pixar Fest! They might not have my Trix Treats but they’ve got some great INSIDE OUT food! Here is Angry Dogs where Anger greets you, and you can get an Angry Dog meal.

Angry Dogs in Pixar Promenade offers hot dogs, chips and beverages in an open-air walk-up location on the waterfront. The raging orange-red flames from Anger’s forehead appear to roast spicy and not-so-spicy hot dogs for guests. (Joshua Sudock/Disneyland Resort)
If you’re a fan of spicy, you’ll want to try this Angry Dog with Hot Fries! It looks good to me, but I think I’d need a huge milkshake to wash it down with!

Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff at Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure Park features a selection of candy, saltwater taffy, rainbow cotton candy, caramel apples, Memory Refreshers’ frozen drinks available in all colors and flavors, as well as fun Pixar souvenirs, apparel and accessories. (Joshua Sudock/Disneyland Resort)
I’d be spending a lot of time and money at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff! Look at some of the treats you can get there!

At Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff, guests may find this Rainbow Unicorn Apple, a Granny Smith apple dipped in caramel and chocolate and decorated with colored sugar, fondant and marshmallows. (Disneyland Resort)
And just because, I have to throw in a picture of Rainbow Unicorn and me at Pixar Animation Studios. We really bonded. I gave her my Trix Treats recipe.
I adore this Bing Bong Candy Apple! These snacks are almost too cute to eat. Almost….I’m sure I could eat it after taking many pictures!

This Bing Bong Apple is a Granny Smith apple dipped in caramel and chocolate and decorated with colored sugar, fondant and marshmallows and decorated to look like Riley’s imaginary friend from Disney•Pixar’s “Inside Out.” (Disneyland Resort)

SHOPPING AT PIXAR PIER (ANAHEIM, Calif.) Guests can purchase Pixar-themed sweets and treats at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff like this INSIDE OUT Popcorn. (Joshua Sudock/Disneyland Resort)
