It’s the final week of our movies to watch before FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD which comes out November 16. It’s the week to watch FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM. This final week, I’ve got a Butterbeer Maple Pecan Bread Pudding Recipe for you.

Butterbeer Maple Pecan Bread Pudding

Ingredients

Butterbeer Maple Pecan Bread Pudding butterscotch bread pudding

3 C day old Italian bread, torn into small chunks
2 C granulated sugar
5 large eggs (beaten)
2 C whole milk
2 tsp vanilla
2 TBSP pure maple syrup
1/2 C butterscotch chips
1⁄2 C light brown sugar, packed
1/2 stick unsalted butter (softened)
1 C pecans (chopped)

Sauce ingredients

1 C sugar
1⁄2 C unsalted butter (melted)
1 large egg (beaten)
2 tbsp. pure maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prep a 13 x 9-inch baking dish by spraying it with baking spray.

In a medium bowl add the sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla and maple syrup.
Mix together to combine.
Put your cubed stale bread in a large bowl along with the pecans and butterscotch.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread.
Stir to combine.
Allow this to sit for 10 minutes.
Pour the bread pudding into the prepared baking dish.
Mix together the brown sugar, and butter, in another bowl.
Sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture over the top of the bread pudding.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
Remove it from the oven. Set aside.

Sauce directions

Prep saucepan by spraying it with baking spray.
Mix together the sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
Cook, stirring frequently until the sugar is melted.
Pour the sauce over the bread pudding.

    This recipe sounds absolutely delish! One question: you list torn bread at the top of the ingredient list and again further down. Is that a typo?
