My review of Fiance Finale
I absolutely adored Fiance Finale by Angela Ruth Strong! It is the third book in the Love Off Script series, but it can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read the first two, but obviously, I loved it on its own. It’s a second chance romance with plenty of heart and humor, and I couldn’t put it down! I read it in a day because it was just too good to stop!
As you can read in the synopsis, Charlie and Nicole have a history. They were once engaged, but Charlie left her the day before the wedding…not because he got cold feet but because he suddenly had to leave the country for his documentary. Needless to say, Nicole was crushed. However, Charlie is back, and he still thinks God wants him to marry Nicole. Nicole thinks otherwise, but she’s got to work with him since her marketing company’s boss pushes her to do so.
Okay. Charlie is adorably clueless. He is one of those people who just jumps into a task analytically. He doesn’t really think about how his missions affect others…not because he’s heartless. It’s just how he is. He thinks God wants him to marry Nicole, so he goes about it like it’s a plan with steps he’s supposed to follow. Yeah, that’s not what you do! Nicole needs someone who makes her needs and feelings a priority, and she feels Charlie can never be that person. So, watching these two fall in love and develop real love…the kind that makes a marriage work after the feels go away…was delightful!
There were so many times that I was just cracking up while reading this, and there were times I was in tears and having all the feelings! This novel also contains a real and deep message of faith and forgiveness. We’ve all got stuff in our pasts that form who we become. But God. God has a plan for us just like he had a plan for Nicole and Charlie. This is one reason I enjoy reading Christian romance so much. Authors use fictional characters’ lives as a way to show us things in ourselves. Strong does this so well! We can trust that God has a perfect plan even when we think things have gone horribly wrong. Nicole and Charlie find this out too.
I highly recommend Fiance Finale! It has wonderfully written characters who jump off of the page, lots of humor, lots of faith and forgiveness, and lots of sweet romance! I just can’t even tell you how much I loved it! I give it 5+++++ stars!!
