My Review

This is the third book in the Frankie Dupont series, and it is another winner. I’ve read and reviewed the first two in this cute series: Frankie Dupont and the Mystery of Enderby Manor and Frankie Dupont and the Lemon Festival Fiasco. In this book, Amy’s brothers need Frankie’s detective skills to help them find out who stole their robotics chip from their science fair robot. Frankie uses his detective skills to deduce who the culprit is and saves the day….though the brothers rack up weeks of detention in the meantime as they admit to prank after prank!

The characters in these books are ones that your kids will love. I think that these books should be read in order, or your kids won’t get the full story. The parts that some of the characters play in the other books are important to their parts in the subsequent stories.

These books are filled with mystery and humor that any middle grade reader will enjoy. This is definitely a series I recommend to instill a love of reading in your children!

Title: Frankie Dupont and High Seas Heist | Author: Julie Anne Grasso | Illustrator: Alexander Avellino | Publication Date: July 6, 2015 | Publisher: Independent | Pages: 148 | Recommended Ages: 8 to 12

Summary: Frankie Dupont seems to catch odd-ball cases in the most unlikely places. You would think he would be used to it by now. When his next case lands him on a luxury cruise liner full of devious chocolatiers with ulterior motives, Frankie will be expected to solve the crime, even before it’s committed. Although his mind is certainly up for the challenge, Frankie realises his stomach is yet to find its sea legs.

An illustrated mystery for ages 8-12

My Review

Frankie Dupont and the High Seas Heist is the fourth book in the Frankie Dupont series. This one has Frankie, his dad, Amy, and Kat on a cruise ship headed to Antarctica to help solve the mystery of who wants to steal a secret chocolate recipe.

This is such a cute series! I really liked this one since they got to be on a cruise ship. They weren’t stuck in little rooms either. These kids got the luxury treatment! Poor Frankie doesn’t find his sea legs for a few days, but once he starts feeling better, he can think clearly enough to solve the case!

This is definitely a series your kids will enjoy reading. The characters are fun, and your kids will love reading about how Frankie solves the mysteries.

I hope that Frankie learned that there’s tons of fun things to do at a Science Fair (and I’m not only talking about the mysteries).

    Besos Sarah.
